The BJP coasted towards a hat-trick win with its biggest tally in Haryana and the National Conference (NC)-Congress combine was set to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir, voters in both places giving the victors a decisive edge as counting day progressed with many a surprise on October 8.

The official results are out for Haryana Election 2024. The BJP has won 48 seats and the Congress 37 seats. This is for the first time that a party has won three consecutive times in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed party workers at BJP headquarter in Delhi late Tuesday. He said, “For the first time, a government has been formed in Haryana after completing two terms of 5 years each…”

Key faces who won the Haryana eletions were wrestler and Congress leader Vinesh Phogat from the Julana seat, former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda from the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi seat, Independent candidate Savitri Jindal and Haryana CM Nayab Singh.
