India’s world record in voting: 642 million voters cast their votes

New Delhi: After the completion of the 18th Lok Sabha election process in the country in seven phases, the results are going to be announced tomorrow i.e. Tuesday. Earlier today, the Election Commission held a press conference and talked about the seven-phase election process. In this press conference, Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar said that voting in the current election has created a historic record around the world. Apart from this, the highest number of voters have cast their votes. Especially in sensitive areas like Jammu-Kashmir, the highest number of voters have cast their votes this year. In addition, more women voters have expressed their opinions in this year’s elections than in the previous elections. This time 31 crore women have voted, which has created a record for the first time.

Also, Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar said that there are 642 million voters in India. This number is five times more than the voters of 27 countries in the world. More than 64 crore people have voted in this election. India has created a world record in this election. We went house to house and took their votes. Voters over 85 voted from home. Record voting in Jammu and Kashmir. This year, Jammu and Kashmir has seen the highest polling in the last four decades. There was no violence in Naxal-prone areas like Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. The Chief Election Commission has informed that the current election has been conducted smoothly.

Rajeev Kumar further said that more than 64 crore people have voted in this election. We thank all the voters of India. Similarly, re-polling has decreased in the current Lok Sabha elections. No repolling took place in any of the booths in 27 states. In the 2019 election, re-polling was conducted in 540 places. In 2024 only 39 booths were polled. In Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh maximum 25 booths have been polled. The Chief Election Commission said that the remaining 14 Sani polls were held in booths of other states.
