Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has returned to Odisha after a 4-day visit to New Delhi. On his second visit after becoming the chief minister, Mohan has attended many important meetings. First, Mohan took Odisha’s side in the Niti Aayog meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mohan discussed the potato issue with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The Chief Minister also discussed the controversial Polavaram issue with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Similarly, the Chief Minister has discussed with Odisha cadre officers stationed in Delhi.
The Prime Minister has an ambitious goal of developing India and making Odisha a leading state. Odisha is coming first. Odisha will be the first buggy to come up with the engine. Priority has been given to Odisha. Odisha tourism is given importance. Our 480 km beach will be developed in the coming days. Odisha will go ahead in port base industry, development in tourism sector, IT sector. The Prime Minister has focused on the development of tribals.
The Odisha cadre working in the central government has discussed with the senior officials. Similarly, officers working in other state cadres were also present. The meeting was held at Odisha Bhawan. The meeting was very productive. The team has requested the officials to act as Odisha. He has promised to work to take Odisha forward.
There is a potato problem in the state. I have a habit of writing letters. But I don’t really believe in writing letters. It is not my aim to write a letter and sit quietly. I have met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Chief Secretary of Odisha and Chief Secretary of West Bengal were present during the discussion. It has been discussed to stop the regular arrival of potatoes. The West Bengal Chief Minister has promised that he will take action after consideration. I believe that this problem will be solved very soon.
After the Policy Commission meeting, a meeting was held with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Discussed with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister regarding Polavaram. The discussion was held in the presence of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Joel Oram and Chief Administrative Secretary. We have reiterated our demand on the Polavaram issue in the previous meeting. In the coming days, Chief Minister level and officer level meetings have been proposed. He agreed to the proposal. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi said that the matter will be discussed in the coming days as well.
