Celebrating the Spirit of Sportsmanship and Giving: Conclusion of the 15th Charitable Corporate Cricket League 2024


Bhubaneswar, 29th dec, 2024–

The 15th Charitable Corporate Cricket League 2024 concluded on a high note, bringing together corporate teams, cricket enthusiasts, and the spirit of giving for an unforgettable event. The league, held from 25th December, 2024 to 29th December, 2024 at Centurion University & KT Global School, Khurdha, witnessed incredible sportsmanship, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to making a difference.


The 4 days-long tournament featured 16 corporate teams like Vedanta, Accenture, Jeeva Organics, JSPL, Chubb India, Cognizant, IDBI Bank, Wonderla, Sunshine, Asthasidhi jewells, Canara Bank, PPL, Aditya group, Media XI competing in a series of exciting matches that highlighted their dedication, teamwork, and love for the game. Beyond the competition, the league’s primary goal was to support charitable initiatives, with proceeds directed to making of education materials for visually impaired students.


Vedanta, Accenture, Chubb India, JSPL, IDBI Bank, Wonderla, PPL, Aditya group were qualified for the quarter finals and Vedanta, Chubb India, PPL and JSPL played the semifinals. After an energetic semi finals, team Vedanta & PPL played the finals. Vedanta, Lanjigarh emerged as the champions of the league, showcasing exceptional skill and determination in a thrilling final match defeating Paradeep Phosphate Limited (PPL) by 45 runs. The tournament’s top performers were also recognized for their outstanding contributions, including Sahil Shankar from Chubb India as the Player of the tournament, Prabin Pattanaik from Vedanta as the Man of the match, Sahil Shankar from Chubb as the Best Bowler and Ashis Patra from Vedanta as the Best Batsman.


In addition to the competitive spirit on the field, the league was enlightened by the presence of Mr. Sudhi Ranjan Mishra, Corporate Communication Head, PPL, Mr. Palanisamy Velusamy, Chief Unit Head, PPL, Mr. Pradeep Kumar Ghosal, CSR- Head, TPCODL, Mr. Saroj Das, East Zone Head, Bacardi India and Mr. Kalpataru Nayak, Unit Head, Wonderla. They expressed gratitude to all the participants, sponsors, and volunteers who made the event a grand success.
The event would not have been possible without the support of its sponsors and the hard work of countless volunteers who ensured smooth operations throughout the league.


The 15th Charitable Corporate Cricket League exemplified the synergy of corporate responsibility and community engagement, proving that sports can be a powerful vehicle for positive change. Plans for the 16th edition are already underway, promising another opportunity to combine passion for cricket with meaningful charitable contributions.
