East Coast Railway Organizes State Level Rovers & Rangers Meet at Bhubaneswar

• Volunteers Raise Awareness on Cleanliness and Vigilance through Nukkad Natak

The East Coast Railway Bharat Scouts & Guides is hosting a State Level Rovers & Rangers Meet at its State Headquarters in Bhubaneswar. This event has brought together enthusiastic volunteers from all corners of the East Coast Railway, including participants from the Khurda Road, Sambalpur, and Waltair Divisions, as well as teams from the Headquarters, Mancheswar Carriage Repair Workshop, and Puri Unit.

A key highlight of the event was the impactful Nukkad Natak performances by the volunteers, aimed at raising public awareness on two crucial issues: Cleanliness and the Fight Against Corruption. Through their engaging street plays, the volunteers successfully conveyed important messages to the public, emphasizing the need to maintain cleanliness in daily life and to actively stand against corruption in all forms.

The event was graced by East Coast Railway General Manager, Shri Parmeshwar Funkwal, who praised the efforts of the volunteers and their dedication to social causes. In his address, Shri Funkwal encouraged the Rovers and Rangers to continue their commendable work and assured them of East Coast Railway’s ongoing support for future initiatives. He highlighted the importance of youth involvement in nation-building and advised them to take more proactive steps in contributing towards a cleaner and more transparent society.

The Rovers and Rangers, through their dedicated service and community-oriented initiatives, continue to play a pivotal role in promoting the values of the Bharat Scouts & Guides within the East Coast Railway.
