ECoR General Manager Felicitates Railway Employees for Exemplary Alertness and Outstanding Performance

Bhubaneswar, 24th December 2024 _

In a brief yet significant ceremony held at the East Coast Railway (ECoR) headquarters, General Manager Shri Parmeshwar Funkwal recognized and felicitated five exemplary railway employees for their exceptional alertness and outstanding performance while on duty. Their swift actions were instrumental in preventing major incidents, ensuring the safety and smooth operation of train services.

The felicitation ceremony was attended by ECoR Additional General Manager Shri Mohes Kumar Behera, along with senior officials including the Principal Chief Safety Officer. Together, they highlighted the collective commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence within ECoR.

Among the honorees were Smt. Ch. Haritha, Technician Grade-II, and Smt. K. Aruna, Technician Grade-I, both from the Carriage & Wagon department at Vizianagaram; Shri Gidijala Ramesh, Goods Train Manager at Rajahmundry; Shri Dubba Charan Kumar, Pointsman-B at Kuneru; and Shri Gyanendra Kumar Mahakud, Track Maintainer-II at Angul.

During the ceremony, Shri Funkwal commended the unwavering dedication of railway employees, including gangmen, trolleymen, gatemen, OHE technicians, token porters, and other maintenance staff, who work relentlessly under challenging conditions to ensure the safe and efficient operation of trains. He emphasized the importance of acknowledging their hard work and encouraged all railway employees to stay committed and vigilant in their duties, reinforcing the organization’s focus on safe and smooth train operations.
