The ninth meeting of SIT related to black money ended in Cuttack. In the meeting presided over by Justice Arijit Pashayat, Deputy Chairman of SIT, while discussing the issue of black money, SIT Deputy Chairman Justice Arijit Pashayat expressed concern about online gambling and trading transactions and advised the departmental officers to keep an eye on this aspect. Apart from this, the area where black money is being traded has been discussed. The SIT vice-chairman advised to take the income tax department and the prosecution team while going to raid the corrupt officials.

Apart from this, the vigilance had submitted the information of 20 officials who were caught in the vigilance net in this meeting. Similarly, the GST department has informed the SIT about the seizure of gold and silver from the Bhubaneswar airport. ED Director, CBDT Chairman, Income Tax Department Officer, NCB Officer, Vigilance Director, Crime Branch IG along with the investigation agency officers of both central and state governments were involved in this meeting. “Then the SIT will submit its next report to the Supreme Court within the next 15 days,” said Justice Pashayat.

The ninth meeting was chaired by SIT Vice Chairman Justice Arijit Pashayat. “The issue of black money has been discussed with importance. Currently, more black money is being traded in online gambling, trading, crypto currency, online games in the country. Focus has been put on it. Department officials have been advised to keep a watch. Strict action has been ordered against them. And in the case where black money is being traded, the Income Tax Department and the prosecution team will be taken to raid the corrupt officials,” said the SIT deputy chief.

Apart from this, the matter of Kuber Babu, who was caught and arrested by the vigilance in Odisha for a few days, has been discussed with the ED. However, ED Director Rahul Naveen, CBDT Chairman Ravi Agarwal, Income Tax Department Officer, NCB Officer, CTGST, Excise and Customs Officer, Vigilance Director Yashwant Jethwa, Crime Branch IG Safin Ahmed, along with officials of both central and state government investigation agencies were involved in this meeting. . A report will be submitted to the Supreme Court within the next 15 days.
