New terminal in Bhubaneswar airport

The face of Bhubaneswar airport will change under BJP government. A new terminal will be built at Biju Patnaik International Airport. A new terminal with a capacity of 80 lakh will be built within two years. Soon runway catto lights will be completed within a month. The other small works that are going on will also be completed,” said Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu.

New terminal to be built in 2 years:

Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu said in response, “Now Bhubaneswar Airport is connecting 20 cities of the country with 4 places abroad. The double engine government will go ahead in the field of civil aviation. The current terminal in Bhubaneswar has a capacity of 40 to 50 lakh people. It will be increased in the future. 80 lakh will be done within a year. A new terminal will be built in two years.

K. Rammohan Naidu added, “Runway Cattu Light will be completed within a month. Other small works that are going on will also be completed. The state capital has this airport. It is growing slowly. A plan has to be prepared for the next 10 to 20 years.” There will be a special arrangement for domestic and international passengers. Now the airport is connecting 20 cities in the country. Further, there is a demand to connect it to other parts of the country like Jammu, Gujarat, etc.

Odisha has an airport in Jharsuguda. In the last ten years, Uttarakhand, Jaipur, Rourkela cities have grown through regional connectivity. Efforts will be made to find out how the regional airport can be improved. The state government is very keen on civil aviation. Odisha has a spiritual city like Puri, so efforts will be made to operate flights from different places,” said the Civil Aviation Minister.

Site clearance has been obtained for Puri Airport:

The Civil Aviation Minister added, “The state government has land for Puri Airport. The site clearance has already been obtained from the central government. The state government will decide how to proceed further. The Ministry will provide all possible support for this. ”
