ASO of Governor’s Secretariat Baikuntha Pradhan transferred. Bhubaneswar: Assistant section officer (ASO) of Odisha Governor’s Secretariat Baikuntha Pradhan was transferred today, a notification issued by the Home Department in this regard mentioned.

The incident of beating the governor’s son ASO has become a topic of discussion in the entire state. While the demand for justice was strong, the Governor called the Raj Bhavan and held a discussion with the complainant ASO Baikuntha. Today came a shocking news. Baikuntha has been shifted from Raj Bhavan to Lok Seva Bhavan. ASO Baikuntha Pradhan, who filed a complaint against the Governor’s son, has been transferred to the Home Department. This order was issued by the Additional Chief Administrative Secretary, Home Department, DK Singh. A notice has been issued by the Home Department Deputy Secretary and there is an order to join the work immediately.
The Governor’s son’s beating of the ASO Baikuntha Pradhan was brought to the attention of the Governor and the Chief Minister and the Additional Chief Administrative Secretary along with the Raj Bhavan Secretary. After this incident came to the fore, there was an uproar in the entire state. Later it took a political turn while the opposition also demanded justice for ASO. The Congress targeted the governor with an attempt to besiege the Raj Bhavan on behalf of the Congress. MLA Tarabharajpati also threatened to oppose the governor in the upcoming budget session. On the other hand, regarding this incident, BJJ also raised the issue of Orthodoxy. The complainant’s wife came to the media and pleaded for justice for her husband.
ASO’s wife appealed to the new government to take strict action against the culprits demanding immediate justice. After the news broke, the governor himself called the complainant and his wife and members of the Secretariat Service Federation for a discussion. Even one of the six accused pleaded guilty. ASO Baikunth Pradhan returned from the Raj Bhawan after getting a promise that proper justice will be done within 7 days. While he was hopeful that justice would be served, he said that he would fight until justice is served.
Today, the news of ASO’s sudden change surprised everyone. Although it is not clear whether the complainant has received justice or action has been taken, the discussion continues. No response could be obtained from either the complainant or the accused in this matter.
