PM Shri Yojana (Prime Minister’s School for Rising India) was launched in Odisha. An MoU has been signed between the Department of School Education and Literacy of the Ministry of Education of the Union Government and the Government of Odisha. The main objective of this scheme is to improve the infrastructure and quality of schools under the Central School Organization and nabodaya School Society. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister and the leadership of the Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the MoU was signed in the presence of the Minister of State for Education Jayant Chowdhury and the Education Secretary of Odisha.

PM Shri Schools will function in full spirit of National Education Policy. It will improve children’s skills. PM Shri Yojana will help in increasing the scientific attitude among them and increasing creativity in arts, literature and science and improving the skills of teachers in all aspects. It will reflect the curriculum and teaching methods recommended by the National Education Policy, the enhanced competence of teachers in a school.

So far, 31 states and Union Territories along with Central Organization of Schools (KVS) and Navodaya School Samiti (NVS) have signed MoUs with the Ministry of Education to improve their schools under the Modi government’s scheme PM Shri School. From Tuesday, this PM has joined Shri School, Odisha. In this scheme, two schools in each block and urban area of Odisha will be developed into PM Shri Schools. About 800 schools in Odisha are planned to be developed into PM Shri Schools. These schools will provide students with quality, comprehensive and inclusive education in a stimulating environment. PM Shri Schools will not only focus on knowledge development but will also help in skill building. It includes a lot of experiential learning with good infrastructure and adequate resources for students to take care of and support their studies.

PM Shree School will play an important role in implementing the vision of the National Education Policy. Which will make India a knowledge based society. The school will provide education in a modern and comprehensive manner. Emphasis will be placed on innovation-based, new technology, smart classrooms and sports and other aspects. As an implementer of the National Education Policy, the school will contribute to the formation of 21st century wisdom, humanistic outlook, and personality through its experiential, holistic, discursive approach and learning-centered approach. PM Shree School will fulfill its commitment to qualitatively strengthen schools across the country. This initiative will benefit lakhs of students of Odisha. Teaching and learning in schools will be technology based. There will be provision of ICT, digital lab, digital library, digital learning tools. Balbatika will have early childhood care and education. Giving priority to the mother tongue will reduce the language gap between teachers and students. PM Shree School, which will be developed and renovated throughout India, will be considered as the best school in the country.
