New Delhi: Campaigning for the fifth phase of elections in the country has started today. Voting will be held on 20th. Therefore, on the last day, various political parties will intensify their campaigning. Polling will be held in the fifth phase for 49 Lok Sabha seats in 8 states and Union Territories. A total of 695 candidates are being tested in this phase. 5 in Bihar, 1 in Jammu and Kashmir, 3 in Jharkhand, 1 in Ladakh, 13 in Maharashtra, 14 in Uttar Pradesh. Similarly, polling will be held in 5 seats of Odisha including 7 seats of West Bengal. Among the heavyweights in this phase are Union Minister Piyush Goyal from North Mumbai, BJP candidate Ujjal Nikam from Mumbai North Center, Congress candidate Rahul Gandhi, BJP’s Rajnath Singh, Smriti Irani.
