The inner gem of the temple was reopened today at the scheduled time. Now the condition of the inside of the gem is being analyzed and the migration of gems is going on. However, while there have been various rumors about the gem, now after its opening, the rumor that there is a hidden secret inside the gem is gaining momentum. Underneath the gem is the sundang. The kings of that time claimed that Damodar Mahasuara, the senior servant of the temple, who stored many precious jewels for Mahaprabhu in this Sundang. Sebayat said that he heard this secret from his father and grandfather.
Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingh Dev said about the sudang, ‘ASI will analyze whether there is sudang in the gem deposit or not, whether it is hidden or not. Since 1971, no repairs have been done since ASI took over.’
Damodar Mahasuar, a senior attendant of the temple, claims, ‘In the past, when the Yavanas attacked the temple, the attendants moved the Lord’s idol through the secret tunnel inside the temple. So there is a secret cave under the temple. In addition, the kings of that time have hidden many precious jewels dedicated to the Lord. In the past, when the Yavanas attacked the temple repeatedly and attempted to loot the treasures, the kings kept many gems and jewels in secret to remove them from the eyes of the attackers. It should be investigated.’
