Usha Padhi took charge as the Principal Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Department

Ms. Usha Padhi took charge as Principal Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) Department today. After assuming charge, he discussed with the senior officers of the department and discussed his vision for its future.

During the discussion, Ms. Padhi highlighted the respectable reputation of the department nationwide and pointed out a clear way forward. Emphasizing the importance of teamwork, the department should move away from individual efforts and work together as “Team Urban”. He highlighted the need for strategic, future planning to address emerging challenges and opportunities in urban development.
